The Building Better Together library is an open source collection of assistive technology devices developed by Building Better Together teams and BDAT lab summer students over several years. These devices address a variety of issues brought forward by real-world clients. Students design a solution in conjunction with client input/feedback to create an end-user centered design.
Solutions are available to download and edit to suit your specific needs.

Ostomy Guide
Intended Use:
An ostomy guide was designed to aid visually impaired patients who have received an ileostomy. To secure the ostomy bag to the skin and form a proper seal, an adhesive wafer must be placed exactly around the stoma. Misplacement of the wafer can cause leakage of waste, breaking of the adhesive seal and subsequent skin irritation to the surrounding area. The ostomy guide helps visually impaired users create the necessary seal and limit leakage. Includes: .stl file Instructions for use (Final paper for term project) |
